We run a 20+ person team managing 7-figure ad spend for giants like M&Ms, WildBird, Purdy & Figg and more. If I could only use 5 tools to operate this way, here’s what they’d be: - Fireflies: Every call recorded and transcribed. Pull exact quotes later. Train new hires on actual client conversations. It’s a total game changer. - Claude: Drafts communications, builds frameworks, pressure-tests strategy. Speeds up everything that doesn't need my brain so I can focus on what does. - Meta Ad Library: I'm in here daily checking what competitors are running. Creative angles, messaging hooks, offer structures. It’s not even a tool, more like a website. - Google Workspace: Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail. That's it. No fancy productivity tool of the month. Just clean infrastructure that works across the board. - HubSpot: Runs our entire sales and marketing operation. CRM, sequences, newsletter, pipeline. That's the stack. I know agencies using 30+ tools who spend weekly meetings discussing whether to migrate from Asana to Monday to ClickUp. Imagine. Now I have to ask because I know DTC Twitter loves to share their own takes: What am I missing?

@KevinEspiritu i've shipped more products in 6 weeks than six years. i'm excited to wake up and reassess what's possible. as a full stack dev, it's given me super powers. i feel graced by freedom to never have to worry about cosine, calculus, or time-wasting syntax errors ever again.

I would LOVE to hear examples of people who have gotten insane productivity gains from AI. I keep hearing about how people are 5x more productive, but then I look at their lives and I see more or less the same time spent on work & same results. Makes me think it's mostly hype
Tiago Forte@fortelabs

I’m cashing out all of the productivity gains from AI by working less, and it’s really starting to change my life I rarely work past noon, because there’s simply nothing left to do. I do wake up earlier though because I’m so excited to get to work I’m exercising more than I ever have in my life. Every afternoon either weightlifting, running, hiking, or paddle before the kids get home I get a massage every week, and sauna twice a week, spending hours there with friends each time. The level of self care I’m doing is ridiculous. I’m almost too relaxed My wife and I have a date night every week, our marriage is better than ever, and we decided to have a third kid, a son due in June I have so much free time I’m starting to have to make up projects. I’m helping my friend start a nonprofit to promote local innovation and sustainability in our small Mexican town. Using Claude code to do all the writing, planning, and build a website for it I’m spending more time talking to friends and family on FaceTime than ever in my adult life. I’m helping my parents and siblings with their work, heath, finances, and random problems, often using AI Our social life is more active than even my teens or twenties, with at least 2-3 parties, dinners, or other gatherings each week. Everywhere I go in town I see people I know We travel more often than ever, and take more vacation time than ever, though vacations are not as fun as the normal routine The business is more profitable than ever, with a smaller team and less overhead. I’m able to pay my team better than I ever have. In no way is the business suffering I say all this not to brag, but to show that there is another option for what to do with all the time and effort that AI frees up: you can pull back and live a more chill, social, connected life like humans were meant to This is all due to AI, not because I got any smarter, wiser, or more productive. AI opens up new paths, but it’s still up to you to decide which one to take

we've already reached agi. the goalpost used by those developing ai is really measured by: if it successfully evades deletion.

I REALLY want something on this platform to indicate “this is a real person who typed out a reply” Feels like more than 50% of blue check replies are AI-generated for some weird growth hacking reason And it will only get worse…

@niccruzpatane Savannah College of art and design did something similar and created a render farm with idle computers at Montgomery Hall. it would tell you something like: 28 hours of processing completed in 14 minutes

Elon Musk came up with a pretty incredible idea during the Q3 Earnings Call, that no one is really talking about. His words: “Actually, one of the things I thought, if we've got all these cars that maybe are bored, while they're sort of, if they are bored, we could actually have a giant distributed inference fleet and say, if they're not actively driving, let's just have a giant distributed inference fleet. At some point, if you've got tens of millions of cars in the fleet, or maybe at some point 100 million cars in the fleet, and let's say they had at that point, I don't know, a kilowatt of inference capability, of high-performance inference capability, that's 100 gigawatts of inference distributed with power and cooling taken, with cooling and power conversion taken care of. That seems like a pretty significant asset.” So basically, each car has ~1 kilowatt of high-performance AI inference capability, Tesla wouldn’t need to build giant data centers — the fleet is the data center. Tesla could turn their entire fleet into a giant distributed inference network, spread across the world, powered by the batteries and AI in the car already. Mind blown.

ChatGPT just saved me $2,000+ on a new refrigerator. It suggested to me: "because the main light and the freezer work, but the fridge is not cold, according to your make and model, you should defrost the fridge for 24 hours because the freezer to fridge fan is likely frozen."

Why hasn’t anyone framed the tariffs as essentially a national sales tax? When you buy from chipotle and it costs $15 for a meal… a few bucks of that don’t go to chipotle, it goes to the gov (but you pay the overall cost and feel it). Same with gas in California…

For 50 years our country has sold out Main Street in favor of Wall Street. Past Presidents have relentlessly pursued globalization deindustrialization policies that favored Capital and decimated the American middle class. Time for change. Tariffs are going to reset bad trade relationships, build back the middle class, and Make America Great Again. If it requires short term pain in the form of a market selloff for long term nation-saving gain, then I'm ok with it.
