There has been a recent wave of wallet drainings affecting Solana users, specifically linked to @MagnumDexBot users. A total of $872,780 has been stolen from 25+ victims since March. Analysis shows that all affected users interacted with @MagnumDexBot . This appears to be a private key compromise. The attacker did not use scripts, approvals, or program interactions and no permissions were granted. Instead, it looks like the attacker had direct access to private keys, imported the wallets, swapped assets into SOL, and manually withdrew funds. No sweeper bots were involved. On average, each drain took about 5 minutes. The activity began around March 23. Notably, on March 25, the Magnum team announced on X that they were halting operations and allowing users to withdraw funds. One victim alone lost $348K worth of PIXEL tokens. A smaller portion was bridged to Tron, with the destination: TD1PeNvLFHRiBbDFJ7uKxGbCNnFmMaaHy9 This address previously received ~$30K USDT from a wallet with the SNS name “pyongyanggang.sol in august 2025.” While “Pyongyang” is the capital of North Korea, and DPRK were also known as pyongyang boys. this could simply be an attempt to mimic known threat actor. Attempts to contact the Magnum bot founder @hardik_047 have not received a response.
