@ArtistAffame I have been doing aqua classes ( it's only the cost of pool entry where I am) 5days a wk since end Jan and I have lost 18kgs. And I walk around the park and use the exercise equipment.

I bought a TV online for my room at my friends - high excitement it arrived today. Took me 2hours to set it up far out - now i require a drink to celebrate how clever i was (especially after 18yrs of being called stupid).

Tragedy:a lovely piwakawaka, attracted to the small flies from my compost bin was flitting around. heard a peep and saw it had flown into the house and was flapping at a window. I approached gently to open the windows when in a flash out of nowhere, flew Mr Visiting Cat.

View through my back door this morning. Messy, yes, but I like it. I'm getting a new handrail put in soon so that will be nice.

@harleycess You aren’t a burden - you are going through a very rough time. And it sucks and you are allowed to feel that it sucks.

Depression is biting me atm. Everything that can go wrong is. My only security and independence- my car is sounding sick. Ex has stolen $ from me. I feel like I'm on a never ending roundabout of doom. I'm such a burden on the world.

@harleycess No, you are not a burden. Here on X you absolutely contribute to my and others' lives. This time will eventually pass even though you dont think it will. It will. You will be even better in yourself and you will glow.

Bathing machines on beach, Caroline Bay, Timaru, ca. 1890. It was considered scandalous to reveal too much skin back then. Those who wanted to swim either waited until no one was about, or used bathing machines to get well out into the surf. Digital NZ digitalnz.org/records/319185…

What a day! Had to take my friends partner ( im living with them atm) to hospital while she was at work. Sat holding his hand while he had a stroke! Texting her updates till she could get there. Bit traumatic.

@ghigisaurus I hope the dentist can sort this out for you quickly and gives you better pain relief than panadol.

So, 8 days after the op, the pain in my palate/gums is so intense I feel constantly nauseous. (A raspberry is too solid for me to crush without feeling faint). Sinuses super swollen. After a week of platitudes, the dentist has finally agreed to have a look.
Ghigosaurus@ghigisaurus

So. Today I had 10 needles in my upper gum/palate; five teeth taken out; six bone grafts; six implants and 25 stitches. Now I’m sitting here waiting for my two Panadol to kick in 🤔

The leaving violence payment isn’t considered ‘emergency assistance’ it takes 6 weeks plus! Previously it was under united care, now it’s 1800 respect, who can’t keep up with the demand. The paperwork is arduous when women don’t have access to Documents.Making women feel unworthy.
