I have spoken to so many people within the sport ranging from children, coaches, senior members of NGB’s and parents, and although the sport provided me with so many positive experiences, the negative ones are often the ones you remember… a lot more needs to be done!

I trained with a group of elite swimmers who were over 18, I experienced both weight shaming and bullying personally and also witnessed my team mates go through similar experiences. Even as adults, we assumed that this toxic culture was ‘the norm’ in an elite training environment

With a lot of thought…after the recent article coming out, I felt a need to support my past team mates on what was a very difficult period of my swimming career. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan…
