I beg of dope acts to set up their own shows, invest in their own tours and network as much as you can. You should be in the know of every dope show that is coming to your city, who are the curators and promoters. And venues that want performances. It’s so crucial.

Festival programmers look at more than following. They look to see how crisp your pages are, are they professional, are their performances, do you have visuals, is there a fan base there. Etc. These take times but add value to festivals bookers wanting to make that call.
