"Hi David, I just read your recent post regarding Merseyside Police managing information etc. This is exactly what happened when I was in South Yorkshire Police, with reference to the Rotherham Muslim grooming gangs. "Thankfully, I served many years in Doncaster, so never worked in Rotherham, so had no dealings/involvement with the grooming gangs. "However, I do remember one briefing where we were told not to inflame community tensions by not openly discussing the perpetrators were Muslims. No one, including our Inspector or sergeants, agreed.
