There was no Indian stock market financial & historical data website with a blazing-fast API—so I built one! 🚀 Introducing Fincrux – a platform that makes company financials easy to access & visualize. Check it out! 🔥 fincrux.org (Thread)

been using AI to write code for almost a year now and i still keep seeing the same issues, even with frontier models like Fable5, Opus 4.8 and GPT-5.5 1) if "A" dependency already does it, AI installs "B" anyway. 2) 30 lines of logic somehow turns into a 200 line function. 3) a simple if else becomes 50 lines of abstractions which isnt needed anyways. worked with quite a few teammates too and whenever i asked "why was this change even needed?" or "why this PR?", there was almost always silence way too many people are relying on AI without thinking about the most important part of coding: knowing what not to write.

I’m hiring a backend open-source builder for my startup. No degree required. No fancy title needed. No corporate nonsense. I need someone who can build libraries, SDKs, APIs, and backend tools in: Symfony Python Node.js Someone fast. Someone creative. Someone who understands developers. Someone who wants to build open-source products from the trenches. If you’ve built useful backend tools, APIs, packages, or libraries… DM me your GitHub.

You join a 2-year-old codebase with zero documentation, one original dev who left, and a PM who wants a new feature by next week. What’s your move?

3/ don’t optimize only for money or status. optimize for work you’ll voluntarily come back to tomorrow, even after a terrible day. consistency becomes effortless when the process itself is rewarding.

2/ when you love the game, failure stops feeling like failure. every rejection, bug, bad launch or missed opportunity is just another level to beat. that’s why they keep going while everyone else burns out.

1/ the biggest competitive advantage isn’t talent or hard work it’s finding something that feels like play to you and looks like work to everyone else the people who win aren’t always working harder. they’re enjoying the process more. 🧵
