@anthonyriera Great insight been working on onboarding of my product which is genuinely taking time but totally worth it I guess 😉

Any time I work on a new product, there are two things I spend the most time on: > Landing page / brand > Onboarding The onboarding is the first thing your users will interact with, this is generally when I drop if the product feels slow, unpolished or clunky.

@JorgeMvrfil Clearly each point is painful 😣 The most painful than all of these is the cost of APIs Really draining everyones wallets

question for people building with AI: what’s more painful right now? 1. AI breaking your code 2. losing context between tools 3. managing multiple agents 4. reviewing what the AI changed 5. turning messy prompts into shipped product curious what’s actually painful, not just trendy.

You built the SaaS. Nice. Now comes the part nobody talks about: Distribution. If you had to get 100 users in 30 days with $0 budget… What would you do first?

Almost crying tears of joy. Codex is really paying for itself 😭 It’s working on its second $100 task, did basically all the work, and now we’re waiting on maintainer approval. Remember we already reached the 100$ mark this month. Also I haven’t ran this goal in a week. I spun it up again 2 nights ago and they finally fixed the pro rate limit issues on Codex so it actually ran all night and I woke up and it was STILL working 11 hours later on 5.5 xHigh ChatGPT literally pays for itself and people are dooming.

Codex made me money without me doing anything.. Huge turning point for me today, I asked Codex to go off and make me $5. It went out, found a small open-source security/audit bounty path, made a legit PR, followed up with the maintainer, kept my payment details private - (without me asking), handled the GitHub proof/verification loop, and got the work merged. it spent about 22 hours working on multiple security audits. Today I received my first payment from that experiment: $16.88. That’s a $506.40/month run-rate if repeated daily. Not life-changing money yet, but it's deeply exciting to live out Sam Altman's vision for AI, where it will just go out and make money for you. It's awesome to start to see the beginning of that.

harsh truth about indie hacking only handful of people will be consistent after 1 year of indie hacking. rest will disappear. when i started indie hacking in 2023, i met a lot of awesome people here but most of them are disappeared now. and whoever is still consistent, they have grown in revenue and in general. every year lot of new people start indie hacking, building products. i hope you remain consistent. believe me, it will be worth it.

Stop optimizing your dev environment. Start shipping. VS Code vs Neovim. Docker vs bare metal. React vs Vue. Nobody paying you cares about any of this. What they care about: - Does it work? - Is it fast? - Can you maintain it? Ship first. Optimize when you have users. Tools are a distraction. Results are the only metric.
