@Aviatri92860040 My brother used to save up for weeks, the money he earned from a paper round went into fireworks. I remember jacket potatoes in the bonfire. I lived a few miles away from Elswick.

Those were the days🙂 Bonfires in all the back streets and 'spare gorund' (usually WW2 bomb sites) Treacle toffee, black peas and parkin (cake)😋 🔥 🔥 🔥

@Trailwalker13 Saw some yesterday in someone’s garden. My evening primrose in the garden disappeared this year but I think there might be some leaves coming up for next year 🌱🤞🏼

Harebells still flowering beside the river at Wylam

Weigela still throwing out a flower and berries on the Himalayan honeysuckle. Berries are a treat for the blackbirds then new plants pop up around the garden like this one did a few years ago.

Into November and the perpetually yours rose has new flowers, hope it’s a bright one wherever you are ✨

@AlisonPailing I miss them, at least I got a few green beans this year. I don’t know why the courgettes don’t grow now I even kept a couple of plants in the greenhouse to see if they’d be better in there but no.

@hartnell8 Oh no! Every year I complain about too many courgettes but I’d be bereft if I had none.

Happy Halloween 🎃 Quite pleased with my pumpkin harvest this year. They didn’t do quite so well at my daughter’s. Only two survived the wet Welsh Summer. We’ll be carving one of them today, but not expecting any TrickorTreaters as she lives in middle of nowhere. #Halloween

So glad we walked today.🌞We saw a snake sunning in late October, a turtle, heard Sandhill cranes warbling and saw pelicans flying high alongside a helicopter. Nothing better than a walk!
