Anyone with more self-awareness would have tidied up her social media before standing. So I wonder how she will cope relating nimbly to different sorts of people and groups

Tracy Clayton is Reform UK new councillor for Colne Valley West, Kirklees. She’s @TracySimTech on Twitter. She’s called that because she’s a Clinical Simulation Technician at @HuddersfieldUni. She’s a huge supporter of Tommy Robinson and promotes Britain First and far-right news channels and activists. She once agreed with Britain First that Sadiq Khan should be deported. She supports AfD. She regularly fat shames women. She’s transphobic. She regular posts anti-Muslim content. She does not support our police. She thinks climate change is a hoax. This is what you have elected, @nigel_farage and @reformparty_uk.

The first ward of councillors have been announced for Kirklees Council. In the Colne Valley East ward, a Reform UK majority had been provisionally voted in. Michael David Simmons, Mark Neville Stephen Smith and Brian Moughtin have been elected to represent the newly-formed ward.
