Our 1st graders at Maxwell and West Point Libraries transformed favorite tales into Potato Head characters and recorded their retells on Seesaw. From expressive voices to clever character details, these videos are bursting with creativity and joy. @Seesaw

Students judged new Capstone covers — #TeamCuteLibrary or #TeamGrossLibrary? They even made their own characters to decide. Cute books are leading the charge, but Gross books have a lot of appeal. @CapstonePub

Students are actively participating in the PA Mountain Laurel Book Award in their library classes. This program amplifies student voices and encourages engagement with quality literature. The students are now eagerly awaiting the election results. @PSLA_News

Our students took part in a Dr. Seuss Celebration from Random House. During library class, they heard inspiring stories from Nathan W. Pyle, Mary Pope Osborne, Mychal Threets, and Judd Winick. Students also enjoyed fun, hands-on activities. Thank you! @randomhousekids

After a visit from the Grinch, students designed thoughtful vacation itineraries sending him to well-known landmarks. Their Seesaw projects demonstrated research, creativity, and presentation skills. The Grinch might be a bit travel-weary after all that careful planning! @Seesaw

Our second graders dove into If I Built a House by Chris Van Dusen and then brought imagination to life in Library class! After discussing the story, they designed and built their own houses using classroom building materials and uploaded their reflections and photos. @Seesaw

Ready to meet some unique creatures? In their Library class, 5th graders at West Point and Maxwell created Scranimals. Inspired by Jack Prelutsky’s PA Young Reader’s Choice winner, each sketch had wild features, hilarious names, and a story to match. @Seesaw
