Micromanaging never gets you the best version of someone's work. It gets you a worse version of yours. When you control every detail, people stop thinking. They just execute your instructions. And your instructions are limited by what you already know. Give someone a free hand and they bring ideas you never would have had. The best results I've gotten came from "here's what we need" and stepping back. Not "here's how to do it." Less control. Better outcomes.

AI is supposed to save me time, but now I find myself building stuff all evening and weekend and it's actually increasing my time in front of the computer WTF

AI made it easier to build products and 10x harder to stand out. Everyone can ship now. Almost nobody can ship something people remember.

Someone asked if it's a good idea to start a startup when you have nothing notable on your resume. Absolutely. All that matters in a startup is whether users like the product, and users don't care (either way) what's on your resume.

today I: - consolidated duplicate H1 tags - rewrote 6 meta descriptions to exactly 155 chars - added canonical URLs to every page - removed dead footer links - fixed the sitemap nobody will ever tweet about this work but this is what actually ranks
