@invainvest1 @BobLoukas Yes, sequencing in both cases is done by the Ethereum node operators. For native the Ethereum nodes also run the transactions to make sure they are valid. For based rollups and external operator does that. At least that is my understanding of it.

@haurog1 @BobLoukas nice. But sequencing performed in both cases (native and based) by Ethereum L1 validators?

Can some technical folks tell me what were the limitations on Ethereum launching their own integrated L2, configure the L1 staking validators to also perform the L2 validation, and have all revenue pass back into the L1?

@invainvest1 @BobLoukas Yes, they are different. Base rollups still depend on external operators to make sure that the state of the rollup is correct. For native rollups this will be part of the ethereum node client. Every Ethereum node will make sure native rollups are correct.

@BobLoukas Native rollups will need a lot of code evaluating the ZK proofs in the node client software. To do this properly the code probably needs formal verification. You do not want severe bugs in this part of the code. The EF is funding a lot of these efforts at the moment.

@BobLoukas Look into based and native rollups which drive a lot of value back to L1. Based rollups like Taiko are already live. No enshrinement through anyone necessary. They are rather new, so not that big yet. Native rollups are still on the drawing board level, but gonna be great.

@potuz_eth @yorickdowne @EthereumOnARM I guess it was me. We spoke quite a bit about the assembly implementation of some of the cryptography libraries on RISC-V together with some people from the nimbus team. Armagan added you to the telegram group.

I know I'm horrible with names, someone approached me about running clients on RISC V but I can't remember the name. Have a short term solution for Prysm and improvement for Nimbus. Can you contact me please? Perhaps @yorickdowne or @EthereumOnARM knows?

Devops asked if we could make RISC-V Geth docker images. No idea why RISC is the new rage, but yolo I guess... 😅 #Ethereum

there's a talk I'm really looking forward to at Devcon @haurog1 and aavegotch1.eth, OG Gnosis validators, are cooking really experimental ideas. They're running a node on Chiado with a RISC-V board. I'm waiting for their first block proposal using Geth! app.devcon.org/schedule/J3SWY…

Go With The Flow special editions: Doing some iterations and tweaking to meet @haurog1's wishes. Main focus is simpler color palettes and lower particle speed for these to result in a clearer flow field. 3 early favorites and an odd one (#4) out that caught my eye. #genartclub

Just did a full validator lifecycle on the #Ethereum Zhejiang testnet: deposit, change withdrawal address, propose a block and exit the validator. All worked perfectly on @HyperledgerBesu / @ethnimbus . Looking forward to the #Sepolia fork in a few days.
