Back to Mac. I used the Oculus VR SDK and ran Oculus apps on Mac for a few years during the DK1 and DK2 days. Then I experimented with SteamVR on Mac when Valve and Apple supported it. Then I emulated Windows on my M4 Pro to get VR working on Quest using ALVR. This is next!

This is it, native PCVR on MacOS! The OpenXR SDK can be compiled on MacOS, So I implemented a runtime and a streaming app. Godot supports OpenXR on MacOS so I use it to test my integration. Unity could work too and of course native C++. 1/x

In Hunter for the Commodore Amiga, you are dropped into a 3D open-world archipelago that was decades ahead of its time. Released long before Grand Theft Auto III, this game featured a fully persistent world where you could drive cars, pilot boats, fly helicopters, and even ride a bicycle, all while navigating a day/night cycle. It’s essentially the 1991 blueprint for the modern "sandbox" genre!

@NimaZeighami @JoshFairhurst I used Pimsleur back in the 90s and it really works, was a great primer for Japanese while not being in Japan.

Since I'll be traveling to Japan more frequently, I've started learning the language. I'm not looking to become fluent, but I'd like to be able to understand and speak key phrases to be a better visitor. What resources do you all recommend for learning the language?
