From AI-generated instructional support to multimodal interfaces and assistive robotics, these technologies hold the potential to break down long-standing barriers in cooking, personal care, creative expression, and beyond. Our upcoming UIST 2025 Workshop on Accessible Cyber-Physical Systems will bring together researchers across HCI, accessibility, AI, AR/VR, and assistive robotics to chart this future. Some updates 🚨 I finished my Ph.D at @uwcse in June 2025! After a year at AI2 as a Research Scientist, I am joining CMU @LTIatCMU & @mldcmu (courtesy) as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2026. The journey, acknowledgments & recruiting in 🧵

My students put up a banner on our building announcing my tenure! I don't know if they planned it to be the first thing almost entering CMU sees. 😅 They also put stickies with my random tweets all over the building. I didn't realize I had made so many dad jokes on Twitter.

Just completed our 7th joint talk at CHI — a precious collaboration that started during our undergraduate years, exploring Human-AI interaction for human communication. We would like to thank ACES, Inc., a Japanese startup, for offering us an interesting field for a case study.

Very inspiring talk! User simulators can be a powerful tool for evaluating systems. I'm curious to see how the applications will expand.
