I won’t have any of you guys hating on Alexia for leaving after everything she’s done for the club. She spent 14 years here and gave the club absolutely everything. She won every single title, helped lead the team from semi professional football to the most dominant side in women’s football, broke records, and was part of historic trebles that changed the club forever. If she wants to leave to earn more money, she has earned that right. Even if the club offered her another contract and she decided not to accept it, that does not erase everything she gave to Barça. Players like Alexia helped build this team into what it is today. She gave the club her loyalty, her career, her leadership, and some of the biggest moments in the club’s history. And no, it does not make her any less of a legend if she leaves on a free either. That doesn’t erase 14 years of sacrifice, success, and everything she helped build at this club. Alexia’s legacy at Barça was already cemented years ago. Nothing will change the fact that she is one of the most important players in the history of this club and women’s football as a whole.
