Dear @PaulKagame, I am writing to express my concern about the persistent smear campaign by your government against me through your chief propagandist, alias minister of national unity, @DrDamascene. In his speeches at different events, including the Parliament and the Senate, he has been spreading lies associating me with people who have been accused of genocide. In his speech this week on the 32nd commemoration of the genocide at Kiziguro, 4km from my home village, he mentioned my name 9 times in his lies on how, in 1996, I colluded with Colonel Bahufite of FDLR, among other things, to spread a campaign of denying the genocide against the Tutsi in the famous programme Imvo n'imvano I hosted while I worked with the BBC Kinyarwanda service. I have never met that man. He appealed to my relatives and other people to avoid me because he said I am poisonous. I cannot mention all the lies now. I do not doubt that you are aware of that smear campaign because he is your minister. That is the reason I am urging you to make him stop it. Your government has been at loggerheads with Imvo n'imvano because of the bitter truth revealed in it, especially on the crimes against humanity and the genocide of Hutus allegedly committed by the RPF. You managed to keep them secret because of the complicity of the UN, the pressure of the US on the UN, the power of PR firms and some corrupt journalists in the mainstream media, but not Imvo n'imvano,-Heart of the Matter. That is the reason your government suspended the BBC Kinyarwanda service. It is almost three years since I left the BBC but your government still pursue me to the extent of appealing to the people in my village and my relatives to avoid me because as @DrDamascene said in Kinyarwanda I am"umurozi" meaning I'm a "witch." I deplore such behaviour. I deplore the stance of your government against me. I did my journalism in honest and in public interest. I did it in accordance to the BBC guidelines, that is the reason, the attempts made by your government to get me fired failed though it took toll on my mental health causing me to suffer from PTSD.
