@ChipRichey I was the seventh seed in ours, I didn't win but I did make it to top 4. I think it kinda depends on what your cut looks like but I didn't think it really impacted the sets I played all that much.

For people who played in League Cups this weekend, how did the new top cut rule feel? Did anyone who entered in the bottom half of the bracket end up winning their cup?

Did bad at cup first one in a while. Optimal pult ~58. Went 3-3 alarm didn’t go off so game loss round 1, one loss was also just draw passing for 3 turns, one was bc a misplay. Not too washed but shouldn’t have messed that game up. Won’t sleep in next time looking forward to it

Finished 286/2745 @ Orlando Regionals with Boiled Chicken Pult! Super standard list but was one I was very well practiced on and it paid off! Shout-out to all my opponents, enjoyed playing against everyone I met and shout-out to my Memphis and Mississippi folks for their support!

@thefleeee It's definitely unfortunate if the quarters stay the same because it means that all stores will need to run a Cup and Challenge in September which means an oversaturation of events.

The new Pokémon Championship Series is set to begin on September 1, 2026, and prospective Trainers can look forward to a few changes. Pokémon TCG and Pokémon GO players will now have an offseason where there are no CP-earning events, reducing the pressure of a long season and aligning with the current season layout for Pokémon VGC.

@JessePrker I think when the disruption item comes out the dusk version probably takes the lead, or at the very least the other versions will play a 1-1 just to activate the effect early.

1/37 @ Canada’s Collectible Games League Cup. Played Mega Venusaur and it didn’t disappoint. Finals opponent wanted to go and we both had a long drive home so he let me get first with 2nd place prizing (Prismatic ETB). It really is a lovely deck 🍃 + 18 points
