when the 94’ earthquake hit in Los Angeles we had a republican governor, a heavily trafficked freeway overpass collapsed and had to be rebuilt. They finished it in 66 days They delivered the project 74 days ahead of the deadline. Newsom is either lazy or inept or both

Read the following: "In the final reckoning Mao must be accepted as one of history's great achievers: for devising a peasant-centred revolutionary strategy which enabled China's Communist party to seize power, against Marx's prescriptions, from bases in the countryside; for directing the transformation of China from a feudal society wracked by war and bled by corruption, into a unified egalitarian state where nobody starves; and for reviving national pride and confidence so that China could, in Mao's words, 'stand up' among the great power." Now compare this to every 'revolution' since WW2 and how it is characterized by the 'journalists' and by that I mean intelligence agencies. Also keep in mind that James Wilson was not merely a journalist when he created the Economist; he served as the Financial Secretary to the Treasury and later as the first Finance Member of the Council of India. This is a critical point for your research: the founder of the publication that defines modern globalist “economic truth” was himself a direct architect of British colonial financial administration. The Milner/Fabian London School of Economics created later became a feeder for the Economist, a kindergarten so to speak. The same ppl that advocated for one world government, socialism and admitted socialism eventually leads to communism. They loved that Mao contributed to moving the ball forward.
Arnaud Bertrand@RnaudBertrand

Yet another striking illustration of just how ideologically rigid the West has become compared to what we used to be. This was the obituary The Economist published for Mao in 1976 - at the height of the Cold War. Read this part: "In the final reckoning Mao must be accepted as one of history's great achievers: for devising a peasant-centred revolutionary strategy which enabled China's Communist party to seize power, against Marx's prescriptions, from bases in the countryside; for directing the transformation of China from a feudal society wracked by war and bled by corruption, into a unified egalitarian state where nobody starves; and for reviving national pride and confidence so that China could, in Mao's words, 'stand up' among the great power." Show this text to any Economist "journalists" today - without telling them it's from their own paper - and they'd reply: surely it's "CCP propaganda" 😏 Yes, incredible as it may sound, there used to be a time when Western journalists could assess a geopolitical rival honestly and respectfully without being accused of being a traitor. And this honesty was in no small part a key factor why the West won the Cold War. Today we call honest assessment "propaganda," and we harass, smear, and blacklist people for it. And we're puzzled why the West is in steep decline. Truth matters.

Remember, guys. Massie lost because only boomers vote in midterms. But Republicans are going to lose in November because... only boomers will vote in midterms. That might seem at variance, but once you wedge your dome in your duodenum, the logic clears right up, I assure you.

@holonabove Right, abundance should solve the energy issue. And it’s not too far fetched to imagine advances in mining technology. 🙏🙏🤞🤞

Great points... all of which I am sure are being closely considered... Those concerns are exactly why Trump and Elon keep aligning around energy, infrastructure, AI, manufacturing, and grid expansion simultaneously... Their approach appears focused on scaling abundance faster than AI demand through nuclear, natural gas, automation, advanced manufacturing, grid modernization, and increasingly sophisticated extraction technologies that reduce surface disruption through precision mining, tunneling systems, robotics, and higher-efficiency recovery methods... think "The Boring Company"... The mineral reality exists regardless of ideology because AI, semiconductors, robotics, and electrification all require massive physical inputs somewhere... What this transition is revealing is that the digital future still rests entirely on physical systems beneath it; energy, materials, infrastructure, logistics, and manufacturing... which is why Trump/Elon are looking to move AI to space... there's no reason vast data centers can't be orbiting the planet...

Facts. The oligarchs never forgave Haiti for freeing itself from the French. It set a very bad example from their perspective. Keep in mind, you're suppose to believe that Cuba was about a socialist/communist being in charge while the CIA installed a dictator next door. Dictators are fine, preferred actually, as long as they're western facing. It was never about humanity, simply a resource grab.
Kei Pritsker@KeiPritsker

It's amazing that people believe shit like this. In 1915, US Marines occupied Haiti, looted the Haitian National Bank, installed a puppet government and rewrote the Haitian constitution. They stayed for 19 years. In 1960's, the US started financing Haitian "president for life" Francois Duvalier, who ruled Haiti through an army of death squads. He was in power for 14 years. Francois Duvalier then made his 19-year old son president, who made Haiti a sweatshop for American corporations. Haiti didn't have free elections until 1990 and when Haitians finally elected Jean-Bertrand Aristide, who was for the interests of the Haitian working class, the US started funding his opposition who overthrew him in a military coup a year later. Aristide came back to Haiti and won the 2000 presidential election. In 2004, the US kidnapped him and flew him to the US. His successors continued to privatize Haiti's resources and state assets and sold them to American corporations. The Biden administration also backed the totally illegitimate government of Jovenel Moise. The colonialism never ended, it just became American.

Love your research and analysis. Amazing! Couple pushback issues. Will these AI data centers hoover up all the power and leave citizens holding a bag full of scarce and expensive energy? And will we have to strip mine Appalachia into a moonscape to recover these rare earth minerals?

I don’t use the N-word. I don’t celebrate Kwanzaa — I celebrate Christmas. I don’t celebrate Juneteenth — I celebrate Independence Day. I don’t listen to rap — I enjoy classical music. I don’t wear my pants down under my butt. I don't wear du-rags. I don't pretend “We wuz kings,” or push fake ancient African empires. I don’t blast music with the windows down. I don’t eat soul food. I don’t speak in AAVE or Ebonics. I don’t demand reparations. I don’t walk around with a permanent victim complex. And, like the vast majority of fake 'African-Americans' in this country, I don't have any desire to go back to or live in Africa. I'm Team AMERICA, ride or die. Who’s with me on that?

lol! Sent the Iranian navy to the bottom of the gulf! The Lincoln alone sank more tonnage than any ship since the Enterprise in WW2. Hormuz can no longer be used as a sword of Damocles to be held over the world’s energy supply. SA and UAE have already diverted 7 million bpd away from Hormuz. Add in another 2-3 million bpd from the US Gulf Coast. By the time we’re done 10% or less of the world’s oil will transit Hormuz. Every day Iran eschews coming to the table their relevance in the global energy market diminishes.

A strong Canada that prioritizes hard power over rhetoric benefits us all. Unfortunately, Canada has failed to make credible progress on its defense commitments. DoW is pausing the Permanent Joint Board on Defense to reassess how this forum benefits shared North American defense. 1/3

@infantrydort Maybe the military needs to become flatter organization? Perhaps Chiefs and Sergeants take on more leadership and give the enlisted more agency. Have less captains, colonels and generals?

I've followed politics for 50 years. I felt the same way about Trump in 2016, and I was in on Cruz early. I liked Rubio but I thought he was too young at the time. But it was my parents in their 70s, conservative Reagan Republicans, who were my first indication that Trump was gaining traction with the GOP base that grew disillusioned with the GOP establishment represented by the Bush family. That's when I started paying more attention to him.
Darth Tiburon@wesker_logan

@shipwreckedcrew I must admit, when Trump announced, I thought he was joking. When he started winning primaries, I was furious--I thought he was stealing our last chance to stop Hillary. When he ran again in 2020, I was PROUD to vote for him. He kept his promises.
