This is my newest foster dog! She came with a history of trauma and aggressive behaviour to people and other dogs including biting. She's been with me 3 weeks and is living happily with 3 dogs and yesterday walked off leash with 15 dogs and 8 people with no issue. Go Wilma!

Civilians and most of all children should never be the casualties of war, conflict or hate. Nothing is so important that any child should lose their freedom, safety or life.

@APTNNews I'm British - all we were taught was how great Britain was. I think we touched on slavery in Africa but not a whisper about the devastating effects of colonization around the world. I literally had no idea until I immigrated to Canada when I WAS 40. I hope that's changed!!!

What do you wish was taught about Indigenous Peoples when you were in school? In your opinion, how has the curriculum changed since you were a child?

My lovely Gran used to have a picture hanging in the bedroom where I slept when I stayed there. It said 'I shall pass through this world but once. Any good thing I can do or kind word I can say, let it be now, for I shall not pass this way again.' That's a good philosophy.

This is a hard time to be positive. But you can make a difference. It may not feel like much, but you don't know the impact that grows from one small action.
