I’ve been briefed on the tragic shooting at UPMC Memorial Hospital in York County and I am on my way to the scene.
The hospital is now secure and members of the @PAStatePolice and @PEMAHQ are on the ground responding alongside our local and federal partners.
Follow the direction of local authorities and stay clear of the area. We will share more updates as they become available.

was just thinking when I started writing about #ADHDwomen
I never thought it would be a huge public health topic the way it is now. I thought I could just write and then I'd magically find other women like me
how naive HA

@RabbleChorus this is good. exactly what I needed.
Make it ok for your daughter to be *herself* and then the ADHD stuff becomes sooooo much more manageable.
You're the best!!
I was already going this direction but you confirmed it

@HealthyADHD Meant to say that as a result she doesn’t have any issues with who she is or her ADHD really, she still doesn’t like parties, so she has a couple of good friends & a boyfriend & they do very little socially but they make eachother happy, playing cards against humanity etc!
English

@RabbleChorus thank you for this!
I think what you're saying is so relevant.
moms in particular do this thing...they want to lead not allow the child to lead.
It's almost like they think they can mold their daughters and therefore keep them safe

@HealthyADHD plays rugby for her county 💪🏽🤷🏼♀️. So my main thing would be to follow their lead I guess.

@HealthyADHD Hi. Dx as adult and parent of teenager with ADHD. Everyone is different, but the hardest thing for me is remembering that sometimes she’s 18 and sometimes she’s 12.

@DrMarielyH I’ve been feeling this way too.
I don’t know what’s going on cosmically speaking but something is off right now

@WhoTheAuDHDAmI sorry I missed this!
and you are 100% right. whenever someone tells me they don't want to even *try* medication I want to point them to these studies
English

@HealthyADHD This does not come as a surprise to me.
Giving someone appropriate medication so they can function & not develop mental illnesses as a result of never being good enough or constantly feeling like a failure reduces the need to drown their overwhelming negative emotions.

Editing/rewriting chapters that I wrote two years ago is hilarious.
I haven't the foggiest idea what I was thinking so I end up rewriting quite a bit or changing my mind all together. **I"m actually enjoying this process**

I am real tired of people feeling bad about being pregnant, how they deliver their babies, and then being under scrutiny during the *hardest* period of their lives.
We are still held fully responsible for everything no matter the circumstances

ADHD, OCD, etc… are not super powers. The superpower of those who think that they are, invariably, is money.

Jessie J saying ADHD and OCD are “superpowers if you look at it the right way” is sickening. I’m tired of the superpower rhetoric, that if you try hard you’ll see the good in it. It’s not the case. You can live a happy life but being disabled is rubbish bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
