it concerns me that for a grown adult, you have such a hard time grasping the fact that even the "mean" children can be victims of abuse (and said abuse is usually why they are mean to begin with!) i'm not even a chloé fan, but i do not need to be one to be media literate

also, saying 'it's just a cartoon' is a bit of a cop-out when we're discussing the actual plot points of the show that YOU are directing. even in a cartoon, actions have definitions. when a writer depicts a grown man manipulating a child, they are writing a story about grooming.

i will never understand the point in creating a character you despise just to ruin their character after you had the entire audience fall in love with said character by giving them redeemable qualities and even giving an explanation on why they behave differently towards others.
