i remember when gachas were mostly 2D mobile/browser games. genshin created a whole new standard with an open-world gacha with cel-shaded graphics. so, if by "ruined" you mean "increased standards so high that other companies tried to copy them and failed" then yeah, sure. ➡️

I've noticed that for most hoyo designs especially genshin ones the complaints are mostly just "the design doesn't match what I personally thought they'd look like so it's bad" and this wasn't a problem before because Skirk has been revealed for years and never got discourse-
