I finished the school to-do list for this semester! I clicked out of that file and opened the holiday to-do list. I don't get paid for this one, but the deadline is scarier (shipping is already nuts).

I have only one hard no in my class. I don't accept late rough drafts. *Everything else* is fair game. But the amount of people who want to fight about the only boundary I have...

In college I would take notes in black on my first read, then add during classroom discussions in two additional colors- one for my additional thoughts and another for classmate commentary. My margins were so chaotic.

@nlmtys Absolutely! I am kind of jealous of all sticky note and tab options today’s students have!

@heatherbabka Fair fair! I teach my students we all should do what works for us, too. Taking notes in tiny notebooks is amazing!!

This week my kiddo was in a car accident. Just goes to show the parenting firsts keep showing up. She’s fine, the car’s not, and people were kind to her. I’m so grateful she’s okay.

Grading a stack of 30 high school college essays. How many would you expect have A.I. issues? There aren't positions fetal enough for this.

@steph_teasley I have had lower class numbers over the past few years. I think more are coming back from online classes. It has been a long time since I had to handle 20+ in one lab. (I have an unusual teaching situation).

The ideal class size is probably about 12. That said, I've had classes of 12 that were a handful, and I've had smooth sailing classes of 30. But no one should have to roll the dice on that last one.
