@nomadnancy12 @UNICEF I love our local CAHOOTS teams. Roving vans you can call when you see someone in a mental health situation or with intoxication/withdrawal issues. Trained medical and mental health professionals!

@MoneyGoesOn @nomadnancy12 I'm with you Robbin Folsom - when I look with surprise at the clock - or these days body pain yells loud enough to break my revere - I know I'm onto something good.

@nomadnancy12 I'm a learner too! Paying attention to when time slips away helps me understand what interests me most. That's how I want to spend my time.

@nomadnancy12 @nadulpan I learn a little and start testing immediately. There's so much real life will teach you that research cannot. EXPERIENCE and WISDOM come from DOING!

@nomadnancy12 I have had many GoGoDoners take my coworking model to their corporate environments. It's a HUGE compliment.

@nomadnancy12 The trickiest is identifying the ways I subconsciously support the norms! Using language and perspectives that put male as the "default" experience. Even subtle things like asking women first when I need help or holding women to different standards of cooperation and politeness

@nomadnancy12 I'm in the middle of the @goldcityventure course to develop a side gig selling printables on Etsy. So far, so good. Lots of follow-along examples. Being able to implement as I learn is key.

@nomadnancy12 If I zoom out I can usually see the logic behind it. And it's usually about belonging. We're wired to belong because often not belonging meant getting booted out of the tribe which meant death. So it's better to take a smaller harm maintaining the status quo than risk death!

@nomadnancy12 Aw, sorry to hear this! But maybe you could pull the fun parts of work out like creative ideation or fun outreach to see what others are doing? I don't have any trouble shutting off work, but I might not be as passionate about mine as you are about yours!

@nomadnancy12 In one of the many habit books I read they talk about Cornerstone Habits - habits that are even more likely to lead to other behavior changes naturally. Even if you start exercising "only" once a week, it seems to impact food choices and total levels of activity.

@nomadnancy12 I usually respond with questions. I try and get them to challenge their own assumptions - see where they came from. If you pause and look, it's usually clear that the more challenges a group has, the more inner resources they've developed! Humans adapt.

@nomadnancy12 @jacindaardern The first is my favorite for a great message AND a laugh! The third one almost made me cry. These are great and it would be wonderful if there was a place to follow up online for more support. I'd love to hear some of the conversations too!

@nomadnancy12 Yay - glad to see Eugene is jumping on board (my town). We have a GREAT program called CAHOOTS that you can call when you encounter someone with mental health or drug issues that could use some help. Jail isn't a help in those situations!

@nomadnancy12 I did once play a game at a Board Game Bar that involved different birds - would be a great way to learn bird species. Or any other thing you need to memorize.

@nomadnancy12 Reflection for the win! Stop and revisit the big questions. Preferable in a mastermind with peers if possible. When things don't feel good, there's a reason. I have a tendency to "push through." That's rarely the answer. Trying harder - nope. Try something different - yep!

@nomadnancy12 SOOOOOO COOL!!!!! Like every other tech advancement - it can be used for good or evil. Avoidance and denial have never worked. I think you can use AI for ALL social issues. The trick is to ask the right question. Still hard to do!

@nomadnancy12 What I see is a totally different set up priorities than I had at that age. More social responsibility and less of a focus on money and more on flexibility and quality of life.

@nomadnancy12 I love my habit app Habitica. It's gamified everything AND I have a "team" in the app - don't want to let my team down!
