Whoa. In 2019 my ALA annual advance registration was $195 and now in 2022 it is $380? I get prices go up but almost double? This better be one heck of a conference!

What if it were rude NOT to read a book on one of those play dates with very littles where you have to awkwardly make conversation with the other parent for like two hours when your kid is distracted and you could be reading
@lisalibrarian I would like to know this. Do they find it a waste of money, a surprise? Certainly some admin just think the library is a cost suck and kids can just Google their work. :/
Has anyone ever assessd what ppl take away from those "can you believe the library pays x for y?" sites? Like, are the actual learnings the intended ones?
