@WingsScotland @PankhurstEM The other day, I came across the price list for organs — heart worth ~$2m, lungs (pair) $3m, liver + pancreas (often collected together) around a $1m. Kidneys $500K each. Puts a different spin on it.

I think this is the most monstrous story I’ve read in my 58 years of existence.
The AI Robot Guy on X@HousebotGuy

>Be Noelia Castillo Ramos >Your parents love you >They fall on difficult financial times >You are ripped away from them by the government >Your grandmother and mom are crying and begging >They bring 12 police officers to stop any resistance >You are placed in a “teen shelter” full of muslim migrants >You aren’t allowed to leave >The staff treats you like you are worthless >The muslim teens decide to gang r*pe you >You think you will get help >Nobody comes. Nobody listens. >They rape you again, with even more people this time >You try to report it >The women in charge of the shelter are woke liberals >They refuse to report it to avoid making muslim immigrants look bad >They won’t do anything >You try to be happy >You can’t move on >You jump from the 5th story of the building >By the grace of God, you live >You are injured, but you still have hope >The state tells you about the option of euthanasia >You pass it off at first >The trauma keeps replaying in your brain >Still, nobody is helping >You feel hopeless >Spain is falling >You decide to do it because you feel worthless >Your dad fights to keep you alive for years >He loses in two different liberal courts >You are scheduled for euthanasia >The days pass >You do an interview, which is really a desperate cry for help >Still, nobody does >The date gets closer >They keep you isolated so you have no idea there is so much love and support is outside >Your best friend desperately tries to get up to talk to you >She is blocked by doctors who seem to take pleasure in the power they have >The process begins >You are alone and probably pretty scared >You feel like you have no choice >The sedative sets in >The last thing you see is a cold, dark hospital room >The toxin is administered >Your lungs slowly stop working >You die in your sleep >Your abusers still face no consequences >You become a monument to the failure of a state that was supposed to protect you

A brick facade reimagined as sculpture. For Dolce & Gabbana’s store at P.C. Hooftstraat 123 in Amsterdam, DOK architecten created a storefront that turns traditional masonry into something almost textile-like. The facade was made with traditional handmade bricks baked in an old ring kiln, laid in header bond to form large blocks, then 3D-milled into sculptural shapes and finished by hand on site. The result is a contemporary intervention that still feels rooted in Amsterdam’s brick tradition — with deep folds, angled glass, and a sense of movement carved directly into the surface

A rule that will accelerate your career: If you bring a problem, bring context. If you bring context, bring options. If you bring options, bring a recommendation. People trust people who help them think. Anyone can spot an issue, few can actually help move things forward.

@TheCinesthetic For an industry that regards itself as the very embodiment of elegance/cool etc., they were a miserable bunch. The most chic woman I ever met was the wealthy mother of a French friend of mine. She was beautifully put together, gracious around awkward Brits and always laughing.

@Fremond_ Could do with rug along the sides of the bed - nice to put your feet down onto something other than cold floor boards. I love the art + the arrangement. Could also do with a mirror or two, to brighten the space. Very pleasant.

@maciejewskii0 @om_patel5 He would have had to completely redraw that, plus a site survey to confirm dimensions. It would have been quicker to find something on Pinterest and screenshot. Something already designed an built by human.

THIS GUY USED CLAUDE CODE TO DESIGN CUSTOM FURNITURE then handed the PDF to a carpenter and actually built it he described a full wall unit to claude. wardrobe, drawers, mirror, fragrance display, hidden vault, laundry section. all in one piece claude wrote 1400 lines of python that generates carpenter-ready technical drawings as a PDF. front elevation, plan view, construction notes. all dimensioned in centimeters claude updated the script each time. added LED lighting positions, ventilation specs, push-to-open latches, soft-close hinges he handed the PDF directly to his carpenter. built exactly to spec. zero modifications needed this is the most real world use of vibe coding i've seen.

@om_patel5 If Claude can generate carpenter-ready technical drawings for a 310cm custom wall unit - what exactly is stopping someone from doing this for an entire house blueprint?

@feioustudio @om_patel5 The design is poor and the technical drawings are unusable— dimensions, where noted, are wildly off. There is nothing in that drawing that illustrates basic understanding of storage management or technical knowledge of joinery.

@om_patel5 the actual signal here isn't "AI replaced the carpenter" — it's that the design intent survived the handoff. instead of vibes → miscommunication → frustration, it was vibes → structured spec → clear build. the gap AI closed was translation, not construction.

@om_patel5 That’s not a wardrobe. Plinths are disorganised — cubed openings offer no value. Ground level drawer… no. Mid section is just carnage. Poses more problems than it solves. You don’t want to be that client.

Out of all the SEA counties I’ve been to so far Vietnamese definitely had my favourite food. Tasted so good. But I guess they also just have totally different eating culture, when you consider you sit on mini plastic chairs in some run down kitchen but it has two Michelin ratings.

@Baddiel @louistheroux I wonder if a part of it is driven by isolation/the desire to be part of something that feels powerful. And dark/underground environments, where the unspeakable is given a voice, must be intoxicating to disconnected souls. They may not even start out that way, but over time…

Some may be surprised by how all the men in @louistheroux 's Manosphere doc turn out to be antisemites, but it follows from their logic. First, obviously, Jew hatred is clickbait, but more importantly, these men promote versions of themselves as brave mavericks unafraid to stick it to the feminised liberal Establishment - and as such, they need an embodiment of power to kick against - one that they, in their I-don’t-give-a-fuck performance, are smashing through. They need the myth of the Matrix. They begin with women as the control but soon they move on to Jews, who provide a darker mythology of control for them to perform being not-controlled by.

@jenn26265 @rachel__rach @doctor_rahmeh I’m so tired of the politicisation of every damn thing. They sell baked goods and have an attached baking school. If you were scratch behind most things—god, the Catholic Church… you’d find investments in debt collections, arms dealing, etc.

@doctor_rahmeh We don’t care how expensive Gail’s croissants are or if it’s gentrification. We don’t care if it’s owned by Israelis. This is a free country and people have the right to sell fucking bread without having their windows put in.
