Quick story time. My friend and “trivia mentor” @GregShahade is going on Jeopardy today to take on Jamie Ding. He has managed to keep it a secret whether he’s the “Dingslayer” from me for many weeks, which is insane given that we’ve been texting on a daily basis about this whole process. Greg and I have been grinding our way up the trivia ranks together for many years. I was helping him at first, then he blew way past my ability level. He’s opened plenty of doors for me and I don’t think I get to the Alex Trebek stage without all his help. For years, I have harbored an irrational fear of having to play Greg if I ever got on Jeopardy. Then we found out our debuts were two episodes apart. Not such a crazy worry of mine, I guess. Retroactive good luck to Greg, and I can’t wait to watch today.

@SoxMach_pnoles @BonyBigCharles @GregShahade The issue isn’t even that delay he answers half of them in a guess so he isn’t really retrieving and it’s every time . It’s just offsetting . I get it it works for him but it’s exhausting to watch

@BonyBigCharles @GregShahade I've played many games of Jeopardy with Greg. He often buzzes before knowing what the answer is. The "not sure" is him figuring it out on the fly.
