I repeat: The U.S. sent thousands of its 19 years old soldiers to die in Normandy, to free Europe and to end the biggest crime against humanity ever commited - by Europeans. It was just 81 years ago. The whole reason, France, Benelux etc. 🇫🇷 exist today is because of this heroism. My grandparents could grow up in a liberal democracy. Without the U.S. they would be raised at the H*tler Youth. We Europeans would still be in wars again and again, like 1914, 1866, 1870, 1795 etc. They brought peace, democracy, liberty and human rights. They invested billions of U.S. Dollars into Europe with the Marshall Fund. They gave us more than we ever had in our history before. They protected us for 7 decades with hundreds of thousands of soldiers against the cruelties of the Soviet Union. The terror we can see nowadays in Donetsk, would have happened in Bavaria, Bourgogne or the Netherlands in 1950 if there wasn’t the U.S. 🇺🇸 Who do we Europeans think we are to let that nation down, act like bad allies, calling their President names every day on television - and have full confidence we stand better alone. All of instagram is just about, why we’re better than the U.S. We owe them so much. We Europeans are most arrogant species on earth. And to cure this we have to face the truth.

@hebusmoore @RobinNestBCFC @bcfcpezza Only 5 keepers in history have sold for more than £30 million and one of those dates back to 2001…no keeper has ever been sold out of a premiership club for more than £30million. Courtois being the most expensive and arguably one of the best in the world, was less than £30mil

@Plummers96 @RobinNestBCFC @bcfcpezza A good average prem keeper is 30m+ minimum. Allison went to Liverpool for 67m. Vìtek I predict is going to the very top. Some of his saves are beyond anything I’ve seen. And even when he makes an error he’s not affected by it.

@RobinNestBCFC @bcfcpezza Can’t see us turning a profit on that £10mil, very rare a goalkeeper sells for big money at any level especially from the championship, if we don’t progress it’ll be another player lost on the cheap and by splashing £10mil on him we will have nothing left to improve other areas

@Bristoldelboy2 @BristolCity Yep I’ve been saying that for some time. We’d have to be looking at finding another loan or spending 7m+. Hands down player and young player of the season

Has to be the best goalkeeper ive seen in following @BristolCity for over 40 years ,scary thing is he still young & has even more potential which can be developed. Must have earned well over 10 points plus with his performances .Vitek superb , big shout out to Borges last 2 games

What an impact Hodgson as made. Pring, Borges, Morsy, Sykes and Riis all improved in these last 2 games. Burgzorg seemed more up for it when coming on too. Yes we will really miss Vitek. But with a lack of defenders people were saying performing was impossible. Not for Roy COYR

For all the complaints, all those who want new ownership - I get it. We could spend more / better. But for those that choose to horribly abuse the guy who’s sunk £200m +, build what’s built, created hundreds of jobs - maybe some perspective needed? bbc.co.uk/sport/football…

@ELJones95 Oh for me I’d get rid of Riis and Armstrong. Riis barely did anything and lost the ball repeatedly

Been told Gerrard is the number 1 target for Bristol City this summer. Roy and Gerrard have a great working relationship, and will keep him updated throughout. Bristol City have been extremely keen on Gerrard for quite a while. Seems the glove might finally fit. #BristolCity 👽

So @IpswichTown CEO & Chair Mark Ashton lied to fans & the public. Clearly the Farage fanboy is preparing for a political career. Hope fans, staff & players unite to turf him out: ‘Ipswich Town and Nigel Farage: A private lunch, free shirts, and staff complaints’ nytimes.com/athletic/71468…

@markbennett1964 @BristolCity You are clearly in the minority. The rest of us can see January and the Center half situ has caused the slump. I predict the next appointment will be underwhelming and probably inappropriate. @ForeverBristol1

@BristolCity Right decision in my view. Hugely overrated by some of our fans and I look forward to a manager who utilises what we have rather than refusing to budge from playing wing backs even though other teams have ‘worked us out’

We can announce that Gerhard Struber has been relieved of his duties as Bristol City Head Coach. Roy Hodgson will take charge of the Men’s First Team until the end of the season, while the club will task the incoming Sporting Director with appointing a permanent Head Coach for the 2026/27 campaign. The club’s recent performances have not met expectations and therefore Struber and Assistant Head Coach Bernd Eibler will leave with immediate effect.
