I am blocked by the original Xitterer (and former QC; who also enabled a campaign of vilification against a fellow MP) so cannot reply with my effusive agreement for said journalist. I have limited sympathy for those Nats who rode the populist tiger which turned on them. I

@joannaccherry @DailyMail This journalist has suffered threats, intimidation and demonisation from you also, Joanna. Please don’t use me in your anti-SNP crusade when you have caused me nothing but grief ever since I reported legitimately on bullying claims in your WM office c 2019.

@KingBobIIV In 1977 she would have potentially been 8 /9 So I wonder if the AI writing the stories for them has gotten a few stories muddled 😝

‘It’s the first time a respected academic has used AI and potentially got quite a lot of things wrong.’ Journalist @andytwelves tells @jhansonradio that Matt 'GPT' Goodwin's AI-written book marks a landmark moment in the dangers of using the technology.

@LBC @andytwelves @jhansonradio Andy is really enjoying being the big bully-never a good look! Really working to create the “pile on” to destroy Matt the person not engaging in genuine debate agree or disagree with Matt this kind of behaviour is disgusting & shows the kind of nasty person he is

@wallaceme Knowledge of the Classics is a good thing. Being able to recite Ancient Greek poetry is a party trick. I can recite medieval French and modern French and German poetry. Doesn’t make me an intellectual genius or good person, just a linguist with a decent memory.

It’s not every day that one gets to listen to a former British Prime Minister recite from memory the opening passages of The Iliad in Ancient Greek, with no notes, in response to a random question from an undergraduate—and all while wearing what appear to be Thomas The Tank Engine socks. But today was one such day. My thanks to my good friend Brad LaMorgese for the opportunity to see the colorful and comic Boris Johnson speak tonight at the University of Dallas.

I once learnt the Lord's Prayer in Aramaic to impress a PhD in Semitic studies. I have no doubt I made numerous errors throughout (and failed in my main endeavour before anyone asks). He's being doing it for years. And he still fluffs bits. Impressive would have been if someone opened a Classical text at random for him to read. See S3E15, Dead End of Homicide: Life on the Street. Steve Buscemi's wannabe intellectual Nazi carries around a copy of Plato, and Frank Pemberton asks him to do what he learnt from the Jesuits. (And that isn't Thomas the Tank Engine.)

@chris_kratovil Sorry, Chris, but is "recit[ing] from memory the opening passages of The Iliad in Ancient Greek" supposed to be some sort of intellectual flex? It isn't exactly particle physics, semiconductor engineering, quantum computing or rocket science. He's just a corrupt, stupid fat pig.

They can attack me all they want. I literally don’t care. Suicide of a Nation is now the Number 2 book in Britain. Because people know I have a point. We are losing our country. I will never stop speaking the truth.

A proposition: @GoodwinMJ's book is stuffed with AI-hallucinated quotes from Roger Scruton, et al. He won't admit this is the case but is now desperately searching for real quotes to fit a revised edit. This is my Great FindandReplacement Theory.

I seriously wonder how long it will be before there's a new social trend where people get annoyed at others who ask questions they could have asked AI. Maybe it's already happening.

@wyclif I automatically mute people who reply to my tweets with AI-generated content, from Gr*k or elsewhere. It’s antisocial and distasteful, like urinating in public, and provokes similar feelings of disgust

The outrage of some non-Anglicans at the enthronement of Sarah Mullally as Archbishop of Canterbury is perhaps the most promising sign in a long time that the Church of England retains its hold on hearts and minds as a truly national church

Thirty years ago today: March 26, 1996: seven Trappist monks from the Abbey of Our Lady of the Atlas in Tibhirine, Algeria were kidnapped by the Islamist GIA, bodies never found, their heads would be found six weeks later. The monks were beatified in 2018.
