I will never be a fan of those that want teams to win like Arsenal.Played a full 90minutes with just a shot on target and some fans enjoy their team playing like that?Just so disgusting….

@Row_Haastrup But D truth z, d prob nw feels bigger dan jxt replacing 1 leader with anoda. Like I keep telling my frends, even if u put Jesus as president today, d same brokn structure and system may still frustrate meaningful change.Wat Nigeria really needs z a complit restructurng of d system

I met a Venezuelan man last night and as much as he was happy Maduro was removed, he said the ONLY thing that can free countries like Venezuela and Nigeria is a bloody revolution. He said there is nothing like a peaceful revolution. He said the type where ALL past and present leaders will be killed and the country will start on a clean slate. He said until that happens, even if you put in power a good person, it will be very hard to create a lasting change. I agree with him. The system has been so bastardized that very few men have held the nation under siege & can do & undo and nothing will happen. Someone like this Wike now among many others needs to go to the afterlife for Nigeria to be able to move forward. Jerry Rawlings did it in Ghana — wiping out all past leaders in one single sweep; why can’t we do it?

“I am not surprised that Governor Fubara withdrew. He was not supposed to collect the governorship form because an agreement was reached that the impeachment against him would be dropped, and he won’t do a second term.” - FCT Minister Nyesom Wike

@Row_Haastrup Then there is fear. Even some of us who believe deep change is necessary are scared of the aftermath — the chaos, destruction and uncertainty that could follow. That fear alone keeps many people silent or hesitant.

@Row_Haastrup You are so right. In Nigeria, I honestly believe there are two major things stopping any real revolution: division and fear.We re still yet 2 truly see ourselves as 1 peopl, nd dat division keeps weakening every collective struggle.“I don't care attitude or tank God say no be me”

During my NYSC last year in Adamawa State, our CDS group visited a prison. Till today, I genuinely don’t think I’ve recovered from what I saw there. We went there with good intentions. We carried detergents, food items and other little things we thought would help them. The plan was simple talk to the inmates, encourage them, advise them and remind them that life could still change for the better. The moment we entered the prison compound, the atmosphere changed completely. One of the officers told us to drop all our phones inside a small office before going further. At first I didn’t think much of it, but the moment that door closed behind us, I started feeling uncomfortable. The silence inside that place was not normal. As we approached, the officers ordered them to come out and sit on the floor for us. Around 70 of them slowly walked out and sat quietly without making noise. Most of them were very young. Maybe around 21 to 28 years old. Boys that looked like they should still be in school or hustling outside trying to survive life. But what shocked me first was their appearance. Almost all of them looked extremely skinny. Their hair was completely barbed low to the point where you could clearly see the shape of their skulls. Not normal skinny… the kind that makes you uncomfortable when you look too long. Then I noticed an old man sitting among them.

@Andre_Schurrla @gbengadewoyin I have been reading through the comments and I think you are the only one that understand the lens from which the guy is speaking from .Outlaws like this if they are not properly monitored can later turn to become a turn in the flesh in the people esp not that they are armed

@gbengadewoyin I'm not in support or against. One thing we must start factoring into reality is the absence of a good government. The moment we realise the government may be unable/unwilling to grant requests, alatise ma pada mo atise ara e

Some very stupid person recorded a video and broadcasted it all across Abeokuta that everyone should be indoors by 9 p.m., claiming something spiritual & dangerous was about to happen. With that stupid voice note, panic has spread all over. And people fell for it. In 2026 chai

Truth is Never Sweet.

I usually give this analogy: Imagine you have boat and you need to cross a river to safety at the other end. Your boat has a capacity limit. You have to be on that boat since you’re the captain. Now think of all the people you love: your wife, children, parents, siblings, relatives, friends, colleagues, etc. They also need to get to safety. It is in your interest to prioritise YOURSELF, your wife, children first! If out of benevolence you decide to exceed the capacity of the boat, it will capsize. None of you will get to the other side of the river. Still on the boat analogy, what I decided to do is cross to the other side of the river ALONE, build a bigger boat and then return to take some people with me, and buy smaller boats which can take other people. The people who used to say I am stingy get it now. I needed to stand properly before I could raise someone else. This explains generational poverty. It’s not like the people before you were lazy. They worked really hard and were selfless, but they needed to be selfish with their first big break to guarantee a future of continued prosperity. It’s counterintuitive at first, but when you think deeply about it, you’ll understand what I mean. I don’t understand why a young person on a student visa who keeps multiple menial jobs to pay their school fees, feed, and repay loans, etc, thinks they are in a position to send money back home. I get it that your people back home are suffering, but they’ve always been suffering. They’ll be fine or not; life happens. If you really love them and want to help them, help yourself first!
