There seems to be discourse on Rems assault on Subaru and people comparing it to Shaula. Why can't we just accept that both are assault and admit they both have their faults. Like for one I can admit that Meili has indeed murdered people but I believe she can redeem herself.

@Fena205 @SampsonMichae10 Honestly, I believe Satella's relationship with Subaru in a way is more toxic than Rem's or at least as toxic since there is such a power dynamic but the problem is we barely know anything about Satella, so we can't say for sure

I’m gonna go on a limb and assume the argument here. If the argument here is that she prompted Subaru to confess here, that’s cool, the point of contention is if she made him do something which he otherwise would not have done

Not only that, but with the idea to make Subaru confess would he not have done it in that situation yes he COULD have done it later but rem made it so he did earlier if we assume he would and in a very wrong way??

@SampsonMichae10 Anything he wouldn’t ordinarily feel, especially considering that he already expressed he loves her earlier on. So yeah, in one of them a rational agent has good reason to believe they’d die, in the other they don’t. Hence why Felix says Subaru is irrational here

@Re__styx I think the only thing you can conclude is that the characters have the potential to do those things, since the loops make it so those actions never happened. Everyone has the potential to do bad thing, but you don't get judged on potential, that's Minority Report shit
