i saw someone on instagram comment a lengthy paragraph about all the things they hated about leviticus and one of them was just "i couldnt feel bad for the main character at all" i had to put my phone down for a few minutes.

@liveisntworthit THAT part is great. i’m glad we have a sapphic movie as a jumping off point so hopefully we got a lot more and with more leads who are POC. the script for this one was still ass though. both things can be true. lesbians deserve good movies, not just accept whatever we get.

@hellfirejinx i can absolutely understand this point. but also, this movie is still breaking other barriers. two asian female leads, in a queer film. it’s almost unheard of. we can’t break every stereotype with one film. at least there’s some representation for people who may not have had any.
