Most surveys ask whether Americans trust higher ed. We asked something harder: where does that trust actually live, what makes it hold, and what causes it to erode? Our report, Trust in Higher Education Starts Local, supported by @macfound, shows that trust forms next door.

Most Americans still believe in higher education. But that belief is fragile. 74% say they trust colleges to do what's right. Only 25% trust them deeply.
