I took over this account on the 28th of January. From the 29th till date we have generated $3k for this brand, representing 19.05% of their revenue. Hitting a 313% increase from previous period. The awesome thing about this brand is that before now, they only generated 5% of their revenue from emails. We are building this up. This is one of the smaller accounts I work with. And the results have been fascinating.

@hellochijioke @Lekanidris236 @OlaDesire__ Exactly, I hate the gen noise, but as a parent I have no option since my kid can't sleep without a fan, even though I have a reachable fan, it still doesn't last long enough, so the gen is still required to charge it to an extent.

I used to think like this too, but sometimes you have to consider yourself also… Imagine you work remotely and you need to be active in a different time zone. How would you go about that And I know you might want to say then get a solar… a solar panel that will power some people's setup will cost a lot So sometimes I think context matters in stuff like this because it doesn't always look the way we see it, except it is

I agree! And I’ll add some nuance as someone who speaks about wealth building for immigrants. First, clarity. Know what you want out of life. If possible, have a wealth number - a point where you don’t necessarily stop working, but you can step back and actually enjoy what you’ve built. I have mine. Figure out yours. Now here’s where most people get it wrong: applying context to their own financial situation. They see “live moderately” and hear “live like a pauper.” They see “control your spending” and counter with “don’t you want me to enjoy life?” - while their financial health is telling a completely different story. For some people, a house isn’t nice unless it’s in a gated community. A car isn’t nice unless it’s a Purosangue. Basic childcare is too basic. Vacations mean first class flights and five star hotels, always. If you’ve built the financial capacity to enjoy those things - through a big business or a high-paying career - enjoy them fully. No argument there. But contentment without clarity is just cope. Knowing your number, and being honest about where you are on the way to it, is what separates people who are actually building from people who are just rationalising where they’ve stopped.
UG@UgwunnaEjikem

The obsession with ‘building wealth’ is funny cos 99.9% of humans will die poor or financially stable at best. If you got a nice house, car, can afford childcare, vacations etc you’re better than most, ofc you can always strive to be better but you must learn contentment.

There’s something called the “meat” of an argument. Sadly, most people on here don’t know how to find it. This quoted tweet is fundamentally about one thing: grown adults should be able to say no to people without hiding behind settings. Half the comment section camped on the one or two lines about read receipts and argued from there. They understood the main point. But once a line threatened their situation, they abandoned the argument and started defending themselves instead. I’ve watched this pattern repeat itself too many times to call it coincidence. It’s a comprehension problem.
Joseph Brendan@Joe_brendan_

On WhatsApp - My read receipts are on - My status is for everyone to see - I don't block or delete - My last seen is still on It's my phone. If I don't want to reply to you, you can't beat me If I am busy I am busy. If you don't want to see my status mute me. If you bill me and I don't see sense in the Billing , I will tell you No. I don't get why grown adults will be so chicken to the point of hiding from people because you do not want to make them bill you Or you will turn off read receipts because you don't want people to know you read their messages and couldn't reply. Better own your life and be as cold hearted as necessary. Nobody will beat you. They will only grumble or get emotional, but that's because they are selfish too. You kuma, be selfish. I've seen someone who got mad at someone else for not replying to them meanwhile, the person they are mad at died that same period. You must be ashamed of yourself if in this short life of ours that won't likely exceed 100 years is what you're using to please people's emotions. You must be ashamed. Everybody is an adult and every adult is facing life with a lot of wounds, if another adult is so selfish and insensitive and thinks you owe them chatting or a quick response, I don't blame them, I blame you

@Olu_Utd14 @FavourYusuf1 What happens is that people just use God as an excuse for their inactions or actions. That’s expected. Humans struggle with taking responsibility

I agree with you but I further explained why I feel it's a wrong move or why I feel it gets abused. Quoted below; “For many religious people, almost everything that happens is seen as spiritual. Over time, they stop separating what is natural from what is supernatural and begin to attribute nearly every event to God or some divine force. Sometimes, it also becomes an easy way to avoid responsibility and accountability because if everything is simply “God’s will,” then people don’t have to question their own decisions or the natural reasons behind what happened.” And I'm sure you agree with this because this is a classic higher percentage Nigerian way in their everyday religious beliefs

This is actually the proper way to look at life. As a Christian, you are expected to see everything through the lens of God. The specifically says “He causes the sun to shine on the good and the bad” It’s called common grace. So when you wake up and thank God for giving you life, the fact that there are a billion atheists who don’t believe that God gave them life does not negate your faith that your life is by His Grace. And this extends to every other thing. This is why we give thanks for everything. From your job to your food to your safety. That’s the biblical standard.
OluOnTop🌚@Olu_Utd14

Whenever I hear a Christian or any religious person share a testimony about how God came through for them, I often point out something they rarely consider. For every story they share about divine intervention, there are hundreds of similar situations where the same outcome happened to people who do not believe in God at all. The result occurred simply through natural circumstances, probability, or the actions of other people. If a believer attributes their positive outcome to God, how then do they explain the identical outcomes experienced by non-believers who never prayed or expected divine help? What explains those cases? This is usually where the conversation becomes quiet, because it raises an uncomfortable question about whether we sometimes interpret ordinary events as miracles simply because we already believe they must be. Human beings naturally look for meaning and patterns, especially in moments of relief or success. But that tendency can sometimes lead us to credit supernatural causes for events that might just be the result of chance, circumstance, or human effort.

I can attribute every area of my life to the Gods hand and still take responsibility for my life. Thank God always is a biblical instruction. But same bible says if you don’t work you don’t eat. If you adhere to the whole counsel of scripture you will attribute things in your life to God and still take responsibility for your life. One doesn’t negate the other. That’s how I live my life.

Saw a similar story on Tiktok. This lady teaches Online skills online. Somehow people found her LinkedIn account, went and started pitching her current clients. Sadly, most of the emails landed in her CEO inbox and she was the EA. She declined and blocked all of them. More reason people don't list current clients on their profile anymore. I cleared mine too. Will update whenever I am ready. Just in my CV for when I want to send an application. People are mean sha!!!!

The last time I made a YouTube video (1k+ views) about how to find client emails for job applications, 3 different clients reached out to me. Apparently people were going through my portfolio and pitching my clients. Still wondering why someone would open my portfolio just to start messaging my clients. Wild. Then we turn around and complain that people gatekeep.

Top class players play week in week out. All those he needs to rest is just excuses. Ronaldo is almost 70 years old and he’s still playing week in week out. So is Messi at 68.
Dr. Mohammed Amali 🇳🇬@MoAmali

I’m seeing a lot of disrespectful comments about Martin Zubimendi. A player who I think has been top class since he joined. Considering we have suitable alternatives like Norgaard, and MLS, the only person I blame is Arteta for playing him week in week out, in form or out of

@FootballEra_ Were you not watching the game? He was having some issues in his knee or something and was fatigued as well. However, Zubimendi's performance today was his worst in an Arsenal shirt. That was pathetic. Same can be said for Eze as well. Two 0/10s .

I don’t understand the Declan Rice sub, he’s literally been playing as a one-man midfielder. Zubimendi was literally nonexistent and Arteta has kept him on the pitch instead.
