Is anyone still here? I know that basically I'm not either but if you are: I'm teaching research methods and I'm wondering if people have recommendations on reflexivity statements/positionality statements written by non-POC?

🚀New paper alert. One chapter from my dissertation is out @Gend_Soc! Check out how Americans classify the gender of ambiguous names by using a gender-binary frame and racialized views. journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/08…

I am prepping my first grad-level course for this spring on sociology of punishment. Does anyone have book suggestions (in addition to The New Jim Crow) in which white supremacy and racism are the big theoretical driver of punishment regimes?

The landing page for the Center for the Study of Black Families and Children is now available. Worked so hard to get this off the ground. And I'm thankful to the team going on this journey with me. I'm in my feelings right now. 😭 artsci.utk.edu/research-and-c…
