i liked that gaku and darumi were friends at different points... they're similar to a point where you know they're just hassling each other constantly

i think even between gaku, darumi and yugamu this gap is completely different and comes at different onionlike layers of what specifically is being misunderstood, e.g. being "misunderstood" on purpose vs for some other reason

this is the case for a lot of characters but yugamu being completely misinterpreted in the minds of the sdu is like crucial to his characterization. same with gaku and darumi etc. the gap between Who/What They Are and What Theyre Seen As must continue being wide as the ocean
