Maybe he was taught by his mom (or maybe even his dad) when he was growing up, but the way he was taught might be different than the way she was taught, and in her eyes if he's not doing it the way she was taught, he's doing it the wrong way. Just because person A does things differently than person B, doesn't automatically mean person A is doing it incorrectly.
