India has solved its problems.. Are you sure about it?
US and China worked to uplift their people before solving world's problems.
Let me tell you a fun fact…
China – 4.3 million software engineers
India – 5.8 million
USA – 4.4 million
Russia – 1.3 million
Among these…
Only India couldn’t produce even ONE global app OS, AI, or social media.
Sounds bold.
But it’s a half-truth.
India DID build:
UPI – massive scale, now going global
Zoho & Freshworks – global SaaS players
Postman – used by developers worldwide
Aadhaar – world’s largest digital ID system
So next time someone says
India built nothing…”
Just remember
India didn’t build hype early.
India built scale, systems, and talent.
And now…
it’s building products the world can’t ignore.

My gym cancelled my membership after my post went viral.
After I posted that gym incident, the owner and trainer called me and said: Take your full refund and join another gym.
Yesterday, me and my friend went again. Same people. Same thing. Again kissing openly. No hesitation. No regret. Whole gym watching. They didn’t stop.
Many women in the gym were uncomfortable. Some were opposing it. Some said they want to leave because this is not the environment they came for.
But management’s solution was simple: Not to stop them. Not to warn them.
Remove the people who spoke.
So the people who felt uncomfortable had to leave, not the people who made everyone uncomfortable.
only if these long ass busses are not allowed on ORR during nights can drastically reduce the traffic..
these big busses bully small vehicles and create traffic jam by stopping wherever they want on the road and changing lane as if it’s their own road

@ananyashaswat you have to work Harder coz you are dumb..
you don’t have to always put someone down to lift yourself up.. never heard a tier 1/2 college folks talking bad about others.. its always the other way around.. insecure losers
Unpopular opinion:
Tier-3 college students work HARDER than IITians.
We don't have placements handed to us.
We don't have alumni networks.
We just have desperation, parents who sacrificed, and GitHub commits at midnight.
That's the only flex that matters. ⚡
sloppy quorum & hinted handoff doesn’t guarantee consistency but gives availability because writes can go to other nodes which are not part of the ‘n’ nodes(the home nodes) for a particular key and the read can be stale
sloppy quorum and hinted handoff :
I wanted to enter my house but i don’t have my keys, i go to the neighbour and ask ‘ can I stay on your couch for a while? I will get my key in sometime and then I will go back to my house’
Today I went to Tanishq with a friend, she wanted to buy something.
I really liked a pair of diamond earrings worth 52k. I had the money. I could afford it.
Still, I didn’t buy.
Because right now, my other responsibilities matter more than wearing diamonds 🙃
Not everyone will relate, but some will.
my bestfriend (soon to be ex-bestfriend) fucked up so bad..

How to achieve Exactly-Once delivery?
One of the most serious problems a distributed system can have is executing an operation many times due to retries.
At first glance, Exactly-Once delivery seems hard to tackle, but dividing the problem into two parts makes it much easier to solve.
Mathematically, an operation is executed Exactly-Once if:
- It is executed At-Least-Once.
- It is executed At-Most-Once.
At-Least-Once Delivery
An operation is executed at least once if, even in the presence of failures, the system retries it until it succeeds.
How?
1. Retries: Implement a retry mechanism to ensure the message is retried until it is successfully processed. (Take into account that not all operations are retryable)
2. Persistence: Store the message and its state in a durable message queue to ensure it is not lost and can be retried.
3. Monitoring and Alerts: Set up monitoring to detect and alert if retries exceed a threshold, indicating potential issues needing attention.
At-Most-Once Delivery
An operation is executed at most once if the system prevents the same message from being processed more than once, even if it is retried.
How?
1. Idempotency is your friend. An idempotent operation can be applied multiple times without changing the result beyond the initial application.
2. Generate a unique idempotency key for each message/operation.
3. Before processing the message, check if the idempotency key already exists in a persistent store:
- If it exists, do not process the message again and return the previous result.
- If it does not exist, process the message and store the key.
Don't double-charge your customers; instead, combine At-Least-Once and At-Most-Once. ;)
I'll highly advise backend engineers to bookmark & retweet this thread.
I'll be breaking down the master-slave DB design and how to scale reads and writes and avoid bottlenecks.
By the end, you’ll understand why this setup exists and when to use it. 👇
@swapnakpanda@jasveer10 what is wrong here? if you as a company offered someone and last moment had to close the role will you think twice before cancelling the offer? will you care 1 but about the candidate? nonsense
Many candidates do these.
Clear one interview. Get an offer with a hike.
Appear in more interviews during the notice period.
After clearing another interview, show the current offer and ask for more hike.
Come back to the first company asking for even more hike.
This may appear smart work, but unethical.
How can companies stop this? - Maybe ask the candidate to sign an agreement that he can't appear in other interviews (even ongoing ones). He can't show the offer letter to any other company (including his current company). In case of violation, he can be penalised.
Interviewed a backend developer.
Guy was at 21 LPA. We offered 28 LPA, roughly a 33 percent hike. He agreed and confirmed joining.
Yesterday he emailed saying he got a 32 LPA offer elsewhere and now wants 36 LPA from us.
Nonsense. Why agree in the first place.
If you are still shopping offers just say it upfront. We stopped interviewing other candidates and waited through the notice period for the joining date.
Now two days before joining, he came back with a new price tag.
