@BouafifNour Kounde's performance this season has been subpar. It might be related to his physical exhaustion. Last season was his best period, but he overused himself. Hopefully, he will recover next season. If he is still around.

One of the best decisions Flick made tonight was dropping Koundé and starting Eric. A top, top performance from him. It’s actually going unnoticed, but in a way that’s a good thing because lately we’ve been noticing Koundé more for his errors and getting exposed. Eric was almost flawless tonight so you barely notice him, no mistakes, no exposing himself, nothing flashy, but extremely reliable. Right-back is clearly his best position in my opinion.

@BouafifNour I think it's very correct for Deco to pay attention to him. His tactical value is just like Rafinha's.The problem is that it's too unrealistic to buy him for 85 million pounds. Personally, I think Barcelona will at most consider repurchasing Abde.

I don’t have an issue with Gordon as a player, I think he’d fit well in Flick’s system and could work as a good backup to Raphinha. However my problem is, first, I don’t think spending big on a left winger should come before fixing the striker and centre-back positions, which are more urgent needs. And second even in a scenario where the club has enough money to cover a CB, a striker, and still spend around €80m on a LW, I’d still lean towards other profiles. If you have that kind of budget for LW players like Diomande, Barcola, or Nusa feel much more aligned with what the team actually needs, both in terms of profile and long-term ceiling. So regardless of the financial situation or strategy, Gordon just doesn’t feel like the right investment right now.

Tbh saying there has been no consequences since 2021 is also an exaggeration because in the following summer in 2022 there was indeed a massive revolution and the squad was improved a lot. But after winning La Liga and the Super Cup what we expect is to move forward but this season we have taken steps backwards and that is what is kinda unacceptable. Hopefully the club does make some big necessary changes this summer and can have a better squad next season to challenge for everything. With that being said, this season certainly has not been successful but we go again next season. 💪
