Today - on March 19, 2026 - he was EXECUTED in Iran by being hung from the neck until dead by the brutal Iranian islamic republic regime. He was a 19-year-old Iranian freestyle wrestler and a rising talent in the sport. 🤼‍♂️ He was born on March 11, 2007, in Saveh, Iran - he had achieved notable success despite his young age - including winning a Bronze Medal at the 2024 Saitiev Cup (an international junior freestyle wrestling competition in Russia) and other provincial and national medals that marked him as an extremely promising athlete with international experience. 🏋️‍♂️ He had been arrested in mid-January 2026 amid widespread anti-government protests that erupted across Iran (including in Qom, where he was reportedly involved). These protests - which began around January 8, 2026 - involved demonstrations against the Islamic Republic regime. 🛑 CHARGES AGAINST THIS YOUNG MAN INCLUDED: Mohammadi was accused by current Iranian government authorities of involvement in the killing of a police officer (or security agent) during the unrest. He was specifically charged with premeditated murder and "waging war against God" (moharebeh under Iranian law). He was convicted in the Qom Criminal Court under the principle of qisas (retribution-in-kind) - leading to a death sentence issued earlier in 2026 - in which reports cite dates like January/February. Human rights organizations, including Amnesty International and Iran Human Rights, STRONGLY condemned the case - alleging: 🚨 Confessions were extracted under torture and coercion. 🤬 🚨 He was denied adequate legal defense, access to independent counsel, and a fair trial. ⚖️ 🚨 Proceedings were fast-tracked with no proper opportunity to challenge evidence or present witnesses. 📕 🚨 He denied the charges and claimed an alibi. 🫨 Despite international pleas - including from the U.S. State Department urging Iran to halt the execution - calls from Iranian-American wrestlers - elite athletes - and groups like the International Olympic Committee and United World Wrestling - the sentence was carried out. On March 19, 2026, Mohammadi was hanged in Qom - many reports indicate this was a public execution - alongside two others - Mehdi Ghasemi and Saeed Davoudi - convicted in related protest cases. Activists and dissidents described this murder as a 'political execution' meant to intimidate protesters and crush dissent - especially timed near Nowruz (the Persian New Year) to maximize impact. [NOTE: This article was authored by Angela Stevenson on March 16, 2026 and posted to X and FB.] I made a post a few days ago attempting to educate my readers/followers on the meaning of the Persian word - Basij. I did this because I was seeing many, many of the Basij being hit now in Iran during Operation Epic Fury. The man in the image on this post was Mohammad Sarlak - who was sometimes referred to as an IRGC Colonel - identified as the commander of Basij Unit 171 - or - Basij Sector 171 in Tehran's Ozgol district. This Basij commander was eliminated in drone strikes on regime checkpoints - where the Basij were 'stationed' - in Tehran on Thursday - March 12, 2026 - and the confirmation of his death has now been confirmed in reports dated as of March 16, 2026. This local Basij militia leader had been - before his elimination - responsible for overseeing checkpoints and security operations in the northeast Tehran neighborhood of Ozgol. This same man had also been directly involved in suppressing protests - with some reports accusing him of responsibility for many shooting deaths of protesters during a crackdown in January 2026. While following IRGC direct orders - this same man had these 'protesters' all shot at point-blank range - no medical help was ever given - and left these people for dead in the streets while their bodies remained uncovered for days to further humiliate the dead and to intimidate other citizens. This Basij commander will NOT be murdering anymore Persian/Iranian citizen ever again. ⚰️ 🇺🇸 GOD BLESS THE USA & ISRAEL 🇮🇱
