@estrodiol i saw people get genuinely pissed about this and i was just sitting there like. i genuinely audibly groaned just from how overdone and bland "b-but...gameplay mechanics are REAL!!!!" and having the scene be cut short like "oh yeah i know" was a personal blessing from tobias fox

@HaroldAngelG there are many games where menus are something visible in universe, how it affects them depends but stories where the characters know or believe that they are characters in a story have been around for centuries. if you are familiar with them this being explained feels outplayed

@DrAwesomeV2 i think that once you defeat him and he loses the power of NEO, his mind briefly becomes clear again. he can fully think for himself, free from his mental decline. and he speaks normal. his speech affect isnt intentional because we see him fight it when giving you the disk
