One very obvious reason for the relationship's endurance and growth is that while the CIA provides Ukraine with targeting packages both in the occupied territories of Ukraine and inside Russia itself, the Ukrainians are providing the CIA with invaluable intelligence about Russia at all levels: military, economic and political. Kirill Dmitriev appears to be making good on his reputation as someone who thinks himself smarter and more important than he actually is. (His greatest assets is his wife, who's besties with Putin's daughter.) His hubris is leading him to fashion a rod for his own back. Dmitriev just managed to do three things at once: First, confirm the U.S. intelligence that Russia is indeed trying to get American servicemen killed in the Middle East, something Putin and Ushakov denied to Trump and Witkoff. Second, offer to knock it off in exchange for cancelling the one non-negotiable thing U.S. intelligence values above all in its relationship with Ukraine. Third, give the "war party" something new to use against him, since now he's bartering with their stock-in-trade, taking the fight to the main adversary. @FluteMagician Absolutely. I wish the politicians who meet him and journalists would start pointing out very bluntly the key things he says that are lies. He just seems to have free rein to constantly tell any lies without repercussions….

At some point, senior Premier League execs have to offer a proper explanation in public for their leniency towards Chelsea. They owe an explanation to fans of clubs punished more harshly. They owe an explanation to those clubs who did abide by the rules. They have to offer some explanation as to why PSR breaches are deemed far more serious than acts of "deception and concealment". Yes, these are the offences of a previous regime at Chelsea. But inconsistencies run through the PL's defence and their reputation is damaged. They can’t hide from a controversy of this magnitude.

Trump last night: „We are helping NATO with Ukraine, so NATO should help the US to keep the Strait of Hormuz open.“ This is a lie. Trump suspended all help to Ukraine with his inauguration. Not a single cent is going to Ukraine. European countries are buying US weapons. This is not helping, this purchasing. When I buy my goods in a store, then the store is not „helping“, it is making business. Trump threatened allies around the globe with invasion and denigrated them at every step, including fallen soldiers in Afghanistan. Putin on the other hand got a pass, received a warm welcome in Alaska and even got sanctions lifted. Those are the facts.
