Not exciting. The treatment approved (donanemab) binds to AB plaques, the later stage in amyloid accumulation. The process of amyloid misfolding takes decades, and we are targeting the last stage with this drug. Too much inflammation and damage already taken, check my photo how glia cells react to AB fibril presence. Even if you have an antibody that can clear these protein clusters from the brain, how do you dissolve inflammation?

According to information from a friend (JF1CXH) visiting HamRadio2024 in Friedrichshafen, a very famous SHFer OE8FNK is exhibiting a 10GHz up-converter(?) for Pluto/Langstone Project with the UV-K5 series. [pictures are taken by JF1CXH]

@TakagawaU16 This are 2 different inventions: on the left: "10 GHz for UV-K5" is the Q03 - 3cm band transverter clip-on (618+9750=10368MHz) , the other is "10GHz for Pluto/Langstone" is a TX doubler (5184MHz x 2) and a RX Downconverter (to 618 MHz), Pluto/Langstone software supports this. 73

@BenKrasnow I guess/assume that lawyers provided advice that the disclaimers and the LLM avoiding providing detailed instructions was required to reduce the risk of litigation. The problem is that it negatively impacts the answers provided.

The difference in parent company philosophy is clear in their LLM products' answers. If the answers from Gemini and ChatGPT were otherwise comparable, why would someone keep using Gemini only to be scolded for asking something?

@ATinyGreenCell @4LOVofScience @WeBuildLife Another option is sharing information via YouTube, Twitter, blogs. The trouble is that unlike a reputable academic journal there is poor archiving and also poor indexing....and of course poor vetting of the article.

People always ask me if I'm going to publish the work we do @webuildlife No, we never will. Scientific publishing isn't used for what you think. It's not for disseminating information. The sole purpose of scientific publishing is to advance the careers of academics. Hard stop.

@_MG_ There are lots of VLF up converters to use with SDRs. They are however RX only. I am sure TX converters for VLF must exist so that an SDR TX can be used.
