Everyone's talking about the AI executive order. I'm not sure everyone realizes there are EXPLICIT portions related to public benefits! For example, re: SNAP — look at all these specifics that the Sec of Ag will put out IN 180 days!

Impact analysis does not need to be a multiyear affair. In Lean Impact, @annmei shows how the social sector can adopt methods that have propelled rapid innovation in the private sector. annmei.com/book

@socio_steve @TheOmniZaddy Sorry for the late reply. I have not kept up with this literature but my general sense is that these programs (e.g training and placement programs) tend to have larger impacts in weak economies due to weaker counterfactuals.

Does anyone have any research on how low unemployment/“Full Employment” has been helping ex-felons/convicted criminals etc. get jobs that they would have previously been discriminated from?

For those interested in increasing success rates for data initiatives I recommend this book by ⁦@AJAlgmin⁩ Very insightful and a good audiobook! So much of it resonated and I like the ‘can do’ energy. algmin.com/book/
