@ThomasJobl30042 I asked judge Nathan Buckley on air on Friday who said he would prefer those ineligible to still be in voting so they could get some recognition and McKernan in 1994 was in the voting so I think you are wrong

AFL has just confirmed under revised rules since McKernan in 1994 the Rising Star judges now only vote for eligible players. So players like Darcy and by this afternoon Reid "who have been found guilty of a reportable offence shall be ineligible and shall not receive votes".
