I can't breathe at the "fiduciary" summit - I find the air's too thin up there. henrytapper.com/2026/03/20/i-c… Pensions for ordinary people are the payments they spend to go on holiday or buy their groceries. Ordinary people have no regard for the niceties of fiduciary duties.

Trustees are for members , not just compliance henrytapper.com/2026/03/19/tru… There is of course a place for the professional trustee and all trustees including member trustees should be qualified to do their job.  But to suppose that trusteeship starts and ends with compliance is wrong

Pensions and IHT - Really? henrytapper.com/2026/03/18/pen… For many people , a pension is what they and their spouse live on, for a lucky few - it's a pot they leave as an inheritance. Tax causes a lot of contention, listen to this video and look at the slides!

Do we need VFM reports to consolidate small DC schemes? henrytapper.com/2026/03/18/do-… VFM performance tables are useful for employers in working out how big “pots” are but they don’t tell employers or regulators the value of consolidating into pensions.
