Basically the argument is that the existence of the patriarchy means that anything women say about men no matter how cruel or untrue, including dehumanising and fantasising about killing them is justified and should never ever be criticised

At the most I'll read an article if I'm currently shopping for something. The fact that James Charles exists suggests that there is male beauty content, but it's not common

The idea of Hamas as shortsighted for Oct. 7th is dying in real time. War was the eventuality for the region, and Palestine was close enough to the front line to feel the squeeze. With Iran up to bat, you have to question if their passivity secured them any advantages here.

I can’t believe it’s been over 4 years after this stupid war Ukraine with a Russian invasion I foolishly thought would never happen. Ukraine’s future looks more bleak than ever and Russia seems to be the one prolonging the conflict, making maximalist demands in negotiations that no sovereign nation would ever accept. Under Biden the left demanded diplomacy and negotiations, but now it seems increasingly clear that it wouldn’t have changed anything. Putin was not some poor peace loving leader who was forced into a war against his wishes because of an existential threat from the West. The Russian state seems increasingly motivated by its own ruling class ideology of Russian irredentism, using its war economy to build up its strength to become a world power on its own. This is not to deny that Ukrainian nationalism isn’t itself a toxic ideology that has contributed to the ethnic strife that fueled this war. But in the end I can no longer bring myself to see it as some how especially worse than the atavistic Neo-Czarist nonsense coming out of Moscow.
