@JLEdwardsIII If Monty were to come back, what would better collaboration with the roster look like between coaching and front office? It seemed like Weaver and Monty had zero interactions based on roster construction, usage, development, etc.

@omarisankofa This was a good read. Comps to other historically bad seasons / franchises was insightful. The Suns with Booker are another interesting one. They were the worst team in the West for several seasons after getting Booker. Partly because they whiffed on top 5 picks (Bender, Jackson)

@jack_kelly_313 I don't mind this group of 8 rotation players. The hilarious issue is we need to take on a ton of salary to get to the salary floor and only need 2 more players for a 10 man rotation. And we gave up 2 picks to get more cap space...

Updated core rotation pieces post trade deadline. These eight players give me alot of hope, great mix of size and different skill sets, need to see all eight play BULK mins together in these last 25 games.

@PistonsThoughts The funny thing is we might struggle to hit the salary floor next season. We actually just need salary on the books unless we hand out some giant contracts

If Gallo is gone, and Muscala is out of the rotation, was it really worth moving 2 2nd round picks to move Bagleys contract? It would be an expiring deal to trade this summer if they really needed the extra $12M All it did is show us what we already knew, NBA teams look better with NBA caliber players, even lower tier ones

@omarisankofa Do you view Pistons in the same tier as Orlando, Indiana, Brooklyn, Chicago, Toronto, Charlotte? Vegas has us projected for way fewer wins (27), but I think our 10 man rotation is as good or better than all. We're DEEP (and versatile) for once.

State Route 58 over Tehachapi Pass in eastern Kern County reopened in both directions at approximately 10 am from Towerline Road east of Bakersfield to Exit 172 near the town of Mojave.

@omarisankofa This is pretty embarrassing considering the circumstances - returning home after a mini road trip, the other team missing their 2 most dynamic players, and we get blown out at home? I feel like the talent discrepancy isn’t that large.. is it coaching? Prep?

Might be a hot take but I like Boston. They’ve made a ton of good moves over the last five years but have had terrible luck. This feels overdue for them

@JLEdwardsIII I think the telling stat is the Pistons have only re-signed 1 1st rd draft pick since 2007 to a 2nd contract (Drummond). Not even talking max - just any contract where you want to continue to roster the player

The most important thing with drafting (ESPECIALLY for Detroit) is getting guys who, to put it simply, are NBA players. The majority of rosters have 12-14 role players. Too many times over past 15 years the pistons draft guys in top 20 who are out of league before 30.

@detnewsRodBeard That put's us at 15 roster spots, right? So that means we need to waive someone if we resigned Diallo? (J Jackson?) I assume Garza would get the 2nd two-way contract

I didn't think the #Pistons would bring back both Cory Joseph and Rodney McGruder. Not sure what that means for Luka Garza getting a roster spot, but I'm intrigued.
