Under capitalism, it's very normal to let children go hungry, let banks force people out of their homes, let sick people diė for lack of access to healthcare. But the idea that billionaires could just be less rich, not poor, not struggling, just less rich, is considered insane.

@mmm_t___ @plainpotatotay The post is an arguement against veganism because it exploits people. Unless locally sourced, all food industries exploit people. So it doesn’t make it an argument against veganism. Either way people are getting harmed. To be clear, I don’t agree with either. (1)
English

@hermidnights @plainpotatotay no one said the meat industry doesn’t exploit people. literally no one said that but people keep replying as if that was said which is so typical.
English

the cashew industry is as exploited as the meat industry but instead of it harming and abusing animals it abuses and exploits human beings.
a lot of vegan influencers and vegan outlets push cashews to be an alternative to dairy for making vegan cheese, milk, etc.

Veganism and meat consumption in the modern context are both two cheeks of the same ass. As someone who comes from a family of farmers who have been exploited by industries for as long as I remember, the real enemy is capitalism which makes the industries utterly dogshit.

@MarkA27494 @dailybritainonx Legalising them under safe regulations can reduce the shame for addicts aswell and encourage them to seek help for their addiction, that’s what I meant about rehabilitation. Also to me weed and alcohol are on the same level of bad so that doesn’t bother me.
English

@MarkA27494 @dailybritainonx yeah I understand your point, and why that would put you off. He wants to do this because people are consuming drugs either way. It’s not about increasing addicts, it’s about making drug use safer. Discouraging drug users to turn to crime and stop the illegal market. (1)

@MarkA27494 @dailybritainonx He doesn’t want to multiply the number of addicts, he wants to help addicts get over their addiction and focus on rehabilitation 😭
English

@hermidnights @dailybritainonx He wants to multiply the number of crackheads and smackheads , that is not a decent person, a decent person would focus on making rehabilitation far more available to drug users than just opening the floodgates and giving them all the taxpayer funded drugs they could wish for..

@SamuelVimes10 Idk the solution to this next part but, forcing them means students who just WON’T take it seriously will be at these sessions. It gives students who already disrupt lessons a chance to then disrupt revision for students who actually want to be there 🙃 (2)
English

@SamuelVimes10 I agree with revising, believe I revised A LOT and it paid off. But I don’t think forcing students to revision sessions is a good idea. People learn in different ways and some may find revising in their own home more effective. (1)

A lot of people apparently baffled by the concept of "Revising for your GCSEs"

@Cameron95176456 @LobbyXposed @PolitlcsUK Exactly. It’s manipulative politics. People voting green want people in power, not reform, on immigrants in detention centres. So it could put people off voting green. Politicians are there to have the best interests of the country in mind , not manipulate the public.

@LobbyXposed @PolitlcsUK You literally vote for it by voting green
